KPI's Early Intervention
Early intervention care is a critical support system for children with developmental disabilities from birth to age 3 and their families. Through our partnership with the Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS), we provide specialized services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and developmental interventions.

These services are offered in the child’s natural environment, typically at home, fostering comfort and encouraging family participation. KEIS, administered by the Department for Public Health within the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, connects families to a network of community resources and professionals. This program is founded on the belief that early, tailored support enables children to thrive and strengthens the bonds within families and their communities.

How KPI Provides Early Intervention Services:
KPI Therapy collaborates with the Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS) by providing specialized therapy services tailored to children with developmental disabilities. Here’s how the partnership works:

-
Service Provision: KPI therapists offer speech, occupational, physical therapy, and developmental intervention services directly to families in their homes, ensuring that support is provided in a familiar and comfortable environment.
-
Assessment and Planning: The collaboration begins with thorough assessments of each child’s needs. KPI therapists work with families and KEIS coordinators to develop personalized intervention plans that address specific developmental goals.
-
Family-Centered Approach: KPI emphasizes the involvement of families in the intervention process. Therapists engage family members in activities and strategies to reinforce skills and promote development.
-
Integration of Resources: By working with KEIS, KPI connects families with a broader network of community resources and services, enhancing the support available to each child.
-
Ongoing Evaluation: KPI therapists continuously monitor each child’s progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed, ensuring that services remain effective and responsive to the child's evolving needs.
